Corrosion Under Insulation
Corrosion Under Insulation (CUI) is a severe form of localized external corrosion that occurs in carbon and low alloy steel equipment that operates at temperatures between -4°C and 175°C. CUI occurs at the interface of the external surface of the equipment and the insulation medium used to conserve energy or protect personnel.
OPTICORR ESS has many years of experience in the prevention and repair of CUI. We can provide solutions for both new build and existing equipment. Our solutions include the application of specialist coatings and materials that can be applied to protect equipment from CUI.
